When Microsoft announced that they will be releasing their new Xbox One Experience, they are quick to tell the testers that the update might get their games, apps, and even the hardware of the console in trouble, but the signees said sure, and went on with it.
The latest update of the Xbox One Experience may or will affect the graphical, connection, and stability of the following games, Destiny: The Taken Kings, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Elder Scrolls Online, and Forza 6.
In addition, the update might also fail to open the following titles D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, Elite: Dangerous, Guacamelee: SCTE, Pool Nation FX, Skylanders, Unmechanical, and Xbox Fitness are also unable to load, while a selection of apps -- ABC News, BlinkBox, Every Street United, Overdog, ReddX, Showtime Anytime, SlingTV, TWC TV, VUDU and WWE.
Also, the following might encounter some issues, most especially while loading, but Microsoft is not actually sure. These are BravoNow, MLB, SyFy, TED, and USA Now.
And apparently, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The software giant also confirmed that anything that was purchased via Xbox.com, the Xbox button on the Xbox One controller, non-functioning Party Chat might fail along the way, like missing notifications and updates to freezing consoles. Unfortunately, some of the DLC from a Game Collection discs, like Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, might have issues with regards to installing.
If any of these issues were present, testers can hard reset their Xbox One consoles and try it again. If bad comes to worst, testers can opt out of the program anytime, but they can only do that by resetting the Xbox One from its factory settings which mean, everything will be deleted like games, data, apps, everything.
The update presents a wide array of overhauling from its dashboard to the backward compatibility for the Xbox 360 games, and a lot more. Also, as Microsoft promised, the New Xbox One Experience will run on Windows 10 which was touted to make the game console work 50% faster than normal.
