Xbox One Update Coming In November Makes Device 50% Faster, Include Backwards Compatibility, Microsoft Confirms

Xbox confirms, through their engineering boss, Mike Ybarra, that the new Xbox One Experience update which will arrive on November will make some system functionality up to 50% faster.  Ybarra pointed out that Microsoft tracks the loading time data of their two Xbox gaming consoles (Xbox 360 and Xbox) with the new Xbox One Experience, and it showed a significant increase with regards to its loading time.

He went on to say that popular Xbox One game titles loaded at least 50% quicker with the new update compared to the old one, but Ybarra was mum on the particular game titles that loaded faster.

The New Xbox One Experience is rumoured to be released this coming November which includes a backwards compatibility for Xbox 360, which means that old 360 games will be playable in the Xbox One. The Engineering head also hinted about a new "Accessibility" features but did not provide further information teasing the gaming community and to hopefully look forward to the new feature.

In addition to the upcoming Xbox One Experience, Ybarra went ahead to discuss the upcoming integration of the Xbox One and the Microsoft 10 Operating System. Although he was very enthusiastic about the possible merger of the two Microsoft devices, he said that it is easier said than done.

Ybarra said that in order for the integration to move forward, they need to get a team that will be highly involved with the customized version of the Windows 10 for the Xbox One, formally dubbed the OneCore.

The Windows 10 and Xbox One merger or OS update was put in place in reaction of Microsoft to Apple TV's claim to possibly out throne Sony and Microsoft as kings of the game console arena.

As of last month, Windows 10 has reached a total of 75 million installs which is a very positive and excellent step to the software giant's goal to reach 1 Billion installs of the Windows 10 by 2018.
