The previously released PS3 and Xbox 360 action/adventure/comedy Deadpool game will have a remastered reboot for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year. Upon its release in 2013, the game received a not so impressive Metacritic score despite the fact that it was produced by a renowned and expert producer, High Moon Studios (responsible for critically acclaimed game Transformers: War for Cybertron).
Deadpool the game's not so impressive critic score stemmed out from its very simple and mundane melee combat, below par shooting features, and a limited array of enemies. Aside from the Metacritic 62 out of 100 possible score, it also received a very bad aggregated score of 37 from different reviews, which includes two negative scores.
Because of the previous bad reviews, critics and gamers are now questioning the validity of the remake considering that it will be offered at $50 each. A bit impractical for a notoriously bad game. Aside from the 2 DLC levels, two alternate costumes, and high definition resolution, everything remains the same, which is why some gamers are comparing the remastered $50 game to the similarly remastered Gears of War: Ultimate Edition that embodied the true meaning of the word remastered, not to mention it is $10 cheaper than the Deadpool game.
Activision is responsible for the release and remake of the Deadpool game, which is looking to piggyback on the heat of the upcoming Ryan Reynolds movie of the same title. The movie is looking forward to making good money in the theaters with an excellent marketing strategy for the Marvel superhero movie.
Deadpool the Movie, as everyone knows, is connected to the X-Men series who are rumored to make a huge movie in the future that will highlight the supervillain Apocalypse, similar to the Avengers' Thanos wars.
The game is set to release on November 17 this year while the movie will hit the theaters on February next year.
