Since its release in 2012, PS Vita is only known for one color, black. The color also became synonymous with any Sony electronics brand, be it the console game, the mobile phone, PS Vita's older brother the PlayStation Portable or PSP. Of course, some of their products were offered on other shades, but every single Sony product has debuted in black.
That being said, Sony has announced that they will be releasing a PS Vita, in the United States, in a different and new shade, Aqua Blue. Although, this is not the first time Sony has issued devices with a different shade, this will be the first time the mogul will release an aqua blue shaded handheld device.
The announcement was made at the GameStop Managers Conference and was also confirmed to hit the stands on November 6 for $200. The popular game store will also get the exclusive rights to distribute the aqua blue PS Vita.
PS Vita was pegged from the successful Sony handheld device PlayStation Portable or PSP and like it, PS Vita is also known to house over 1,000 video game titles and has the ability to stream most of PlayStation 4 games via the PS4 Remote Play.
On top of the announcement, it was also confirmed that games such as Super Time Force Ultra, Super Meaty Boy, and Minecraft: Story Mode will also be released for the PS Vita.
The latest Sony flagship handheld device will still be the same, except for the color. Surprisingly, experts who had seen the device physically were equally surprised that the aqua blue shade actually complements the PS Vita.
Sony also announced that the device will be limited, and will not reproduce another batch of the shade, that is why they have opened a pre-order portal for those who wanted to make sure to get the PS Vita Aqua Blue, before the stock runs out.
