Nostalgia hits technology again as some games of the legendary 80s and 90s era was recently released to the mobile devices platform (iOS and Android).
Developers from Hipster has recently released a mobile version of the legendary and timeless classic Pac-Man, which is also featured in the video game inspired movie flick Pixel that stars Adam Sandler.
Hipster calls the game Pac-Man 256. The reason behind the name has a lot to do with the game's glitch. When you reach the 256th level, the right side of the screen will turn into a mess of numbers and letters.
This is known as the split-screen level or the kill screen and was a level that is impossible to beat.
Nonetheless, the glitches and issues of Pac-Man's mobile version is nothing compared to the nostalgic experience while of the game.
Another game that captured the entire universe from the mid to late 90s was Tamagotchi.
When Tamagotchi was released in 1996, it captivated the world by a total of 76 million unit sold.
Tamagotchi is a handheld device which houses your virtual pet that requires you to feed and play.
The Tamagotchi is readily available for both the iOS, including Apple Watch, and Android platforms.
Mortal Kombat IS 23 comes in as the last addition to the nostalgic games.
The game was the pioneer and was, in fact, the only game note for its use of gore and extreme brutality as its center of attraction.
Mortal Kombat released it 10th installment in April, which showcased another legendary figure, the Terminator.
The game was also released in app version, and never looked back since its release.
Mortal Kombat's mobile gameplay involves tons of tapping and slashing, which made the game perfect for mobile devices, compared to an on-screen joystick type of controls.
The 23-year-old game did not also forget to bring its famous moniker in its mobile version, Fatality!
All the three titles are available for download in App Store and Google Play.
