The allure of a pre-order bonus means a bookstand or maybe a special edition art-book if you're a regular game. But if you're the upcoming FPS from Activision that focuses on the fan-favorite Dixon brothers from The Walking Dead TV show, you're offering jewelery. In fact, Daryl Dixon's (Norman Reedus) infamous neckless of Walker ears.
So what's the catch? There're only a hundred necklaces and they're only avaliable at San Diego Comic-Con at the Activision booth starting Friday. And you have to pre-order the game there in order to get your Dixon swag on. Somehow it seems appropriate for The Walking Dead super-fan, but kind of lame that it'll be an SDCC exclusive just to pre-order the game.
The things we put up with from major publishers when it comes to swag that could wind up being as cheap as the rings DC Comics mass produced for their "Blackest Night" event.
