Leviathan DLC for Mass Effect 3 Confirmed

When the extended ending for Mass Effect 3 came out, buried within the files were references to "Leviathan," an alleged DLC that had Commander Shepard and crew meet with a renegade Reaper. No one was sure what to make of it, until now.

Voice actor Anthony Skordi today confirmed with Eurogamer that the aforementioned DLC is in the works, and that he would be portraying that Reaper, named Leviathan, a traitor facing exile for killing one of his own kind.

Leviathan controls an indoctrinated Batarian colony, where Shepard meets him and can have him join the fight against the Reapers. The Leviathan can also provide Shepard with information about the Reapers' origin.

BioWare has yet to comment on the Leviathan DLC, but they will release a DLC titled Earth, which adds:
* Mods and gear,
* New maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London.
* Three new weapons: Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol, and Typhoon light machine gun.
* Six new human N7 classes are also available: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury.

BioWare is scheduled to officially announce new Mass Effect 3 DLC at San Diego Comic-Con, during its Saturday panel.
