The sequel to the popular Tiny Wings is arriving at the AppStore July 12, and the creators have put together an interesting trailer. The trailer itself doesn't give away anything in terms of new gameplay or features, but it has its charm. Check it out below.
The original Tiny Wings saw players tasked with guiding a tiny, flightless bird across a chain of islands to get to his nest before the sun set. Since the 'lil fella has tiny wings, the bird glides across the skies after catching air from hills. The game also featured special missions allowing players to upgrade their nest.
The game's visuals change daily along with the islands' layouts.
Upon its release, it was hailed for its simplicity and originality. It was the top grossing game in the App Store for two weeks from late February 2011 to early March, and was voted iPhone game of the year, selling at least 5.6 million copies. Tiny Wings has previously been compared to Angry Birds in terms of addictiveness.
