New Screens Reveal Settings for Resident Evil 6

Complete with 3 capaigns, each about as big as Resident Evil 5's campaign, Resident Evil 6 will have a plethora of settings and environments to explore. Anyone who picked up Dragon's Dogma got a taste of the demo, but a user by the name of Mr. Nightmare has provided the net with some screens that weren't seen in the demo.

Noted in a press release from Capcom, players will:

"Play as Leon S. Kennedy alongside Helena Harper and explore the dark confines of the Ivy University campus and the zombies that fill its hallways. Select Chris Redfield's mission and head to China for an intense encounter against the deadly J'avo with BSAA colleague Piers Nivans on the rooftops of Lanshiang. The third mission shifts the action to the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and sees Jake Muller and Sherry Berkin trying to escape the relentless pursuit of the Ustanak, one of the new B.O.W.'s being introduced in Resident Evil 6."

If you want to see some of these areas, be it Lanshiang, China, or war-torn Edonia, click START on the slideshow above!

As seen in the trailers, Resident Evil 6 uses the same over the shoulder view utilized in 4 and 5. But 6 brings a new mechanic that allows players to move while shooting, among other features, including a new cover system, dodging, enemy counters, and a drop-in/drop-out co-op system.

Enemies will drop skill points which you can use to purchase skills to customize your character to make them more unique. Skill examples include increasing your firearm power, or your durability. Puzzles will make a return, including "a few tricky ones," and will be more like the first three Resident Evil games where you have to explore a bit before you are able to solve them.

Zombies return as the main enemy, doing away with the plaga parasite. Capcom has assembled its biggest team yet with over 600 people coming together to make this game.

Resident Evil 6 is due out early this October.
