Another Nintendo Direct is in the pipes, and this time it will be all about Splatoon.
Nintendo eShop And Virtual Console Update For April 30
The family-friendly ink shooter is set to spotlight in one of Nintendo's now-signature livestreams, which have become the publisher's preferred way of debuting and announcing content. On May 7 at 7 a.m. Pacific, 10 a.m. Eastern, it will be Splatoon's turn to take center stage.
Just last week Nintendo hosted a livestream for Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U, a title we had seen less of than Splatoon. Walking through a game with developers is always helpful, though, and we haven't seen an extensive amount of the title that debuted at E3 2014. There's no telling exactly what to expect from the Nintendo Direct event, but there will undoubtedly be some live gameplay sessions.
The bigger Nintendo Direct videos (such as the one that has replaced Nintendo's E3 keynote) are a collection of news pieces and announcements with some gameplay footage, but the streams focused on one particular title tend to be more relaxed gameplay sessions.
New Clash Of Clans Anti-Air Defense Will Blow Enemies Away
Splatoon is a shooter, though not in the traditional violent sense you would think of. Players shoot colored ink at one another and the stages, with the ability to change between human and squid forms. A Wii U exclusive, Splatoon is set to release on May 29.
