Special edition consoles for big games are always hot commodities, and it shouldn't be surprising that one is on the way for Halo 5: Guardians.

Though it has yet to be officially revealed, a special edition Xbox One for 343's upcoming game has been virtually confirmed regardless. 343 Studio Head for Halo 5 Josh Holmes tweeted the response below to a fan asking about a themed console, letting us know about its existence before an official unveiling:
@juliocurt There is a limited edition console coming, yes. It hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s pretty sweet. :)

Halo 5 is set for an October 27 launch, as we learned from the twin Spartan Locke and Master Chief trailers. The two show different (and conflicting) versions of the same events, encouraging fans to 'hunt the truth' about the story. Another recent trailer--a promotion for Gamestop exclusive pre-order armor--didn't help reveal more of Halo 5's narrative, but did show Locke tearing through Covenant enemies.
A special edition Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One console has yet to appear, perhaps with Microsoft opting for the Halo 5 version instead. A bundle including an Xbox One console and the game took a surprisingly long time to be released--it was not ready at or around the game's release anywhere but Japan. Despite numerous other bundles and price drops during the holiday season, a Master Chief Collection deal did not arrive until March.
