Dawnguard's New Dragonbone Weapons

When the DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dawnguard was released, with it came Dragonbone weapons, which are now the strongest available set of weapons, surpassing even Daedric weaponry. The weapons can be found throughout Skyrim, but mostly in the new area of the Soul Cairn.

If you want to make them yourself, the majority of them require both a Smithing level of 100, and the Dragon Armor perk. Like other weapons, they can be created at a blacksmith's forge, and upgraded at grindstones with dragon bones.

A complete set of Dragonbone weapons will require 18 dragonbones, which, unless you've been selling them, or you've already used them to make armor, you should have an ample stockpile laying around. Ebony ingots and leatherstrips will also be needed, but these are a little easier to come by.

What's interesting to note is that the new Dragonbone Mace ties with the Mace of Molag Bal as the highest base damage of any One-Handed weapon and/or Mace in the game. Furthermore, the Mace of Molag Bal comes pre-enchanted, the Dragonbone Mace does not, which allows you to customize it in any way you see fit (provided you have the necessary perk and/or items).

Xbox 360 players are already able to arm themselves with the new weaponry, but if you're among the legions of PS3 and PC gamers who haven't had the chance yet, check the slideshow above to see the new weapons!
