Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios have been hitting us with plenty of footage for Mortal Kombat X as the game approaches, and now the launch trailer has been released.
Mortal Kombat X 'Quitalities' Will Make Rage Quitter Heads Explode
Directed by System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, you can watch the high-octane trailer below. It features the band's song Chop Suey!, and shows off a good mix of combat footage, clips from the story, and some dialogue.
While I certainly find the vocals a bit silly and grating, the music and tone of the song do fit Mortal Kombat's aesthetic. The editing of the trailer itself is also pretty good, so shout out to Odadjian for his work there.

Mortal Kombat X is launching on April 14 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game were recently delayed, with Warner Bros moving them back until "summer". The current Amazon listing has them launching on June 30.
The current Mortal Kombat X roster features 29 confirmed characters, some new and some old. A certain selection are only available as DLC--this includes Predator (yes), Jason Vorhees, Tanya, and Tremor as part of the Kombat Pack, as well as Goro as a downloadable character. Others such as Jackson and Jacqueline Briggs plus Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade have recently been confirmed. You can see a video of all known fatalities here.
