Let's take a trip back to 2007, and Half-Life 2: Episode 2 was recently released. Anticipation was high, and the third and final installment of Half-Life 2, Episdoe 3 was a sure thing. Valve had stated that they were aiming to release a new episode every six to eight months. Now, almost 5 years later, all we've seen from Valve has been three pieces of concept art.
Earlier this month, Valve was expected to break its silence on the next chapter of Half-Life. But E3 came and went, and fans still had nothing to go on.
Many fans feared that any future for further episodes were scrapped. Now, almost 5 years since the last installment, there may be light at the end of the tunnel. A user from a community called Valve time has posted some recently leaked concept art. The pictures don't give any indication as to locations, story, gameplay, or even much of anything solid really. But hopefully it's enough to keep the fans optimistic. Click START to see the art for yourself.
The story has yet to be confirmed, though it's speculated that an Aperture Science vessel called the "Borealis" will play some part, as will Half-Life 2's double agent, Judith Mossman.
Among the pictures are several versions of Alyx, and/or another woman, a crashed helicoptor, and what looks like Xen, the alternate universe Freeman traveled in and out of in the first Half-Life. Many thanks to gamesmint.com for the information.
