The amiibo craze keeps on rolling: pre-orders are becoming available for the retailer-exclusive figures today and tomorrow, causing a mad rush to purchase while supplies last.

The Jigglypuff amiibo is a Target exclusive, and should be available for pre-order now. The button is greyed out on the site currently--is the product already sold out? Keep checking back for a stock refresh. Like other amiibo figures, Jigglypuff is priced at $12.99.
The Pokemon character comes as part of a larger wave that includes Lucina, Robin, Charizard, Wario, and Pac-Man. These figures, as well as Jigglypuff, are set to release on May 29. Other retailer exclusives in this wave include Greninja (who will be available to pre-order soon at Toys R Us) and Ness (who's currently crashing servers and creating lines at Gamestop). There's also a special yarn Yoshi for use with Yoshi's Woolly World, as you can see in the Nintendo Direct video below.

The amiibo figures, aside from being neat-looking collectibles, are compatible with a variety of Nintendo games. On Wii U and the New 3DS, the figures can communicate with the hardware and save or transfer character data for use in certain games. Applicable software includes Super Smash Bros, Codename STEAM, Mario Party 10, Yoshi's Woolly World¸ and more.
