Whether part of some premature April Fools' Day gag or for another reason, Google has updated Maps today to allow users to play Pac-Man within the service.
Dying Light April Fools Update Will Give Players Super Strength For A Day
Right now on Google Maps, you can engage in a game of Pac-Man using real streets--pellets, ghosts and all. The process is pretty simple, and is not some hidden secret that requires a trick or key combination.
Simply type in an address you'd like to play on, wait for that area to load, and press the new Pac-Man button that should appear in the bottom left corner. It's a large square icon, and should appear to anyone looking at an address.

You should definitely make sure to play somewhere wth a bunch of roads--your quiet street might be a death trap as you attempt to escape from the ghosts with nowhere to go. Somewhere with a lot of turns and intersections is best: New York City does nicely for this reason if you want to try it out, with its grid layout and many intersections. Part of the fun is playing somewhere you recognize, so if that won't do it for you, try it out in your town center.
It's merely a distraction, and turns can be finnicky since normal Pac-Man only has right angles and real streets can have multiple directions. Few will be seriously score-chasing, but it's an amusing game to share around nonetheless. Enjoy!
