EA and BioWare announced and then promptly release the Jaws of Hakkon DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition last week, but its notable exclusivity ruffled some feathers. Today, we finally found out that the content won't be coming to other systems until May.

A deal with Microsoft meant that Jaws of Hakkon only launched for Xbox One and PC, with no mention of when the content would be hitting other platforms. In fact, the developer and publisher dodged questions about a release plan for PlayStation consoles and Xbox 360, preferring just to focus on the announcement despite the elephant in the room.
Only today did we get word via a tweet from the game's official account that Jaws of Hakkon will be launching on all other platforms in May of this year, with no specific date mentioned.

Exclusivity deals suck for gamers, and timed ones are very frustrating. Sony (Destiny is a big one in their case) or Microsoft essentially pay developers to deny access to a segment of gamers, and the benefit financially while fans lose out. I understand it benefits their bottom line, and business is about making a profit--but fans and customers are missing entire games (or arguably worse, content for games they already paid for) because of these practices.
Destiny has an exclusive PlayStation deal as Call of Duty does with Microsoft--even those people who buy the season pass for these games have to wait longer for DLC to launch than their counterparts, and in some cases miss out on content for a long time. The publishers profit and drum up hype and demand for their system with exclusivity, but it only serves to frustrate the fanbase on either side.
