Great news for PlayStation 4 owners who are not PS Plus members: this weekend will offer free online multiplayer, no questions asked.
Jamestown+ For PS4 Now Available As Part Of Spring Fever Sale
Sony ran the promotion in the past, and it was (as you might imagine) popular enough to bring back. The promotion will begin on Friday, March 20, at 12:01 a.m. Pacific and run through Sunday, March 22, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. Unfortunately for overseas fans, it's only available in North America.
To take advantage of the weekend deal if you're not a PS Plus member, you don't have to do anything special. Simply log in to the PlayStation network and launch your game of choice--you'll have full PS+ access to the mutliplayer modes.
Steam Cyberpunk Sale Now Live Until March 20
There's plenty of games to take advantage of during the promotion, though it's not likely you did or will buy the examples the blog post gives if you don't plan to pay for online play. Battlefield Hardline is now available (reviews here), but the lackluster campaign and nature of the franchise makes it multiplayer-centric--I wouldn't buy the game without the ability to play online. The post similarly mentions Helldivers, which can be played offline, but is better when you're connected, and much better with other players.
Maybe you normally play singplayer FIFA 15 and can now take your talents onto the picth against others, or you can play The Last of Us Remastered's multiplayer mode. Either way, set aside some time this weekend to enjoy the free online play!
