Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Gets Patched

Acknowledging flaws in the latest Resident Evil, Slant Six has released a patch addressing some of Operation Raccoon City's issues.

Among the major (and most needed) changes are improved matchmaking, and AI improvement. Gunplay has also been addressed, though specifics haven't been given as of yet.

Read below to see what else has been fixed.

- Improved matching.
- Easier to connect and added each user's NAT info to main menu for easier troubleshooting.
- Matchmaking from invites improved.
- Ally AI improved
- Enemy AI and responses improved
- Adjusted various elements of weaponry, including ammo count, knockdown distance, weapon respawn times, etc.
- Improved aiming/fire accuracy
- Items can be picked up while dashing
- Infinite CQC combo addressed (can't string together endless attacks)
- Players can take cover immediately following a dive
- Also a fair number of bugs addressed

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City takes players back to the outbreak of the T-Virus in Raccoon City circa 1998, the same setting of Resident Evil 2 and 3
Players take command of several different characters on either an Umbrella clean up crew, or a US Army spec. ops. team. Raccoon  was criticized as little more than a generic shooter, just with zombies. AI of both enemy and teammates were not well received, computer controlled characters often running into walls and crowds of enemies, or throwing grenades at thin air.

Hopefully the patch can fix some of these egregious faults that had many declaring Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City as an unfinished game.
