PewDiePie topped the Gaming charts in views for January with far more views than his closest competitor. The internet superstar seems to be fairly unstoppable.
PewDiePie May Have A Shot At A Shorty Award This Year
For the first month of the year, PewDiePie took home nearly 418 million views. Just for the one month. That's a massive amount of views over his closest competitor, PopularMMOs, which brought in 267 million. But the difference between the number two spot and the number three spot isn't nearly as substantial, as shown by Tubefilter.
Between them, there's only a little over a 10 million difference. As you move through the ranking list, the numbers tend to stay pretty close with a 10 million or so difference.

PewDiePie is far and above the people trailing him on the list and has been for some time. He's managed to do something that is quite hard. Stay relevant on the internet. Not only has he kept the number one spot for a number of months, but he's actually seen growth in his numbers.
Not as much as some of the other members on the list, Pewds moved up only 7% since the last month but with his views as they are, he could have dropped 7% and still been on the top of the heap.
PewDiePie has really earned his crown as the King of YouTube and it doesn't seem likely that he'll fall from the charts anytime soon. Of course, with these being monthly numbers, it is entirely possible that he can fall out of favor with the masses. The internet is a fickle beast.
