Attack on Titan is not new to gaming--there have been multiple titles for the franchise. Still, fans will no doubt be excited to hear that Capcom will be developing a game based on the popular anime series.
Attack On Titan Is Getting A New Museum With A Wicked VR Experience
It was announced today at Japan Amusement Expo 2015 that the publisher known for Street Fighter and Resident Evil/Biohazard as well as a sea of less popular but really amazing games (I'm talking about Okami mostly) will be developing a new arcade title.
New Funko POP Figures Feature Attack On Titan Characters. Despair Has Never Been So Cute
There are no further details other than the fact that it's in development. We'll be able to learn more over the summer regarding this new game, reported Crunchyroll.
Since it's in the arcade it will likely be a fighting game, or perhaps a platformer. It will be interesting to see what the team cooks up to add another dimension to the series. The franchise has also released games for the 3DS as well as "social games" which are primarily available in Japan.
What's most important about this is that there's a chance we'll be able to play Attack on Titan characters against the Marvel Universe. Sure there was already a cross over comic where you get to find out how the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers, would fare against the dirge of humanity, the titans. But that doesn't tell you who would win in a fight, Mikasa or Rouge. My money is on Mikasa. That girl is a killer.
