Star Wars fans, you finally have a reason to go on a cruise. Disney has announced that they will have eight Star Wars themed Caribbean cruises. Grab your lightsabers, it's time to go on vacation.
New Princess Leia Comic Follows The Iconic Hero After The Movies
The cruise will take place on the Disney Fantasy and last for seven nights. Seven nights of Star Wars goodness, as revealed by StarWars.com.
This is Disney so you should know that it's go big or go home with them. There will be meet and greets with characters, themed parties for children, even the food and drinks will be Star Wars-themed.
Spider-Man Is Returning To The Marvel Cinematic Universe
There are no half measures with Disney. Also, something tells me the ratio of adults to children will be a bit higher on the grownup side than usual.
While you're on your dream cruise, there will also be screenings of the Star Wars films as well as Star Wars Rebels. The real entertainment will be super geeks fighting over who shot first.
There's also a Jedi Training Academy where they'll be teaching lightsaber moves. Unfortunately, this is for young padawans, not adults. Sorry.
Costumes are encouraged, not that anyone could stop Star Wars fans from wearing them if they tried. It's better to just accept it.
The crusies dates span from January 9 to April 16, 2016, so there's basically a year to get your tickets and convince your kid why going to see Darth Vader on a cruise is WAY better than Buzz Lightyear and Snow White.
