Cox played the transgender character Sophia who, although never a main character, did have quite a few key moments in both the first and the second season of the show. She is one of the most recognizable faces in the huge lineup.
Cox has just been cast on new show Doubt, where she will be one of the co-stars, reports Deadline.

Although Cox has never had a huge part in Orange, we know that when actors get bigger jobs, that usually spells the end of their time on other shows.
The season has already wrapped production so it's unclear if we'll see an actual out for her or if it will be more like she just doesn't come back for the next season. There is a chance that her departure has already been filmed as it is sometimes known production long before it's public when someone is leaving.
Not much has been said about what her character is doing in the coming season. There's a chance that she's already been written off. Her sentence was for a nonviolent crime and she is a model prisoner. She may get parole.
In a stitch she may also just be transferred to another prison.
