Long out of print, the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past graphic novel is finally being reprinted and is now available for pre-order via Amazon.
Fire & Axe: Viking Saga Board Game Due Out In May
Jump on this now, there's no telling how long the pre-order will last until the first run of comics has been sold off. For 17 dollars, it'd be worth it to own a piece of history.
The manga by Shotaro Ishinomori retells the events of the seminal SNES game. The twelve part comic was originally released in Nintendo Power magazine back in the early 90s, but was later collected into a full length manga in its own right. The collection has not been in print since the nineties.
The Latest Batch Of GTA Online Verified Jobs Has Hit
A Link to the Past will be arriving on shelves everywhere on May 5.
The graphic novel reimagines Link as a slightly more hapless adventurer than he is in the original game, but still one with a big heart and courage. Ishinomori created two new characters, Roam - an archer with his own arrow to grind and Ephemerelda, a fairy guide similar to Navi from Ocarina of Time. We also get a somewhat more fleshed out look of Link's parents, who are always so notably absent in many of the games.
Link is a Campbellian hero, after all, and they must lose their family at one point or another.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is available for the Wii U Virtual Console, and is highly recommended. It often goes toe to toe with Ocarina for the title of greatest game ever. The follow up, A Link Between Worlds, is available for the Nintendo 3DS. Order the manga HERE.
