When assaulting an opponent's village in Clash of Clans, you should always remember: you don't need to burn the place to the ground. If you can manage a three star victory (total destruction), then yes, go for it. But a win is a win, whether it's one star or two.

It is an easy concept to forget, and so you go and unload all of your units - especially your heroes - in a pointless assault. An economist will tell you that spending any additional resources without gaining any additional reward is a pointless endeavor, and while I disagree with economists on so many, many things, it's true in the world, and it's true in Clash of Clans.
What I am trying to say is this: you don't always have to use your Heroes. Sure, if they will tip the scales and give you three stars and a boatload of resources, by all means. But your initial wave of troops should be sufficient enough to tackle any equal level town hall.

Though it certainly helps to use a Quatrolavaloonian attack, and that's just what Galadon of the Clash of Clans Attacks Youtube channel utilizes in his latest video. Four lava hounds and an armada of balloons and minions can take care of any base's defenses. Not all of the defenses, mind you, but certainly enough.
Timing and spread are key. Drop the lava hounds first, obviously, but make sure they aren't left hanging out there too long. A key mistake you might make on the outset, however, is bunching up your balloons. That's just asking for them to be taken out by a multi-target defensive tower. Balloons aren't the most durable of units, but they can lay a beating down. The minions are there to play sweep.
It's a devastatingly wonderful attack when employed right. And there's no need to be a hero, or deploy a hero when executed properly. Watch the video below and remember: waste not!
