Season two of Orange is the New Black saw a lot of characters on the outs. Some people were run over by vans, some were framed for improper contact with prisoners. Only one was revealed to be embezzling prison funds and making a return, as Natalie Figueroa (Alysia Reiner) will be coming back.

Last season we met Figueroa as the Assistant to the Warden. For a brief moment in time, we thought she might be a friend to the prisoners but as it turned out, she was pretty much as awful as Pornstashe. She's embezzling money from the prison and gets busted by Piper and Joe Caputo.

It seemed pretty clear that her character wouldn't be coming back for the next season so it was a shock to her and everyone when she was pulled back into production, reports Decider.
There are no details on what her role in the coming season will be. We know that it will not be as Assistant to the Warden any longer. Kind of hard to keep your job when you're stealing from your job.
There's a chance she may come back as a prisoner, which would be an interesting take on things. Unlike Pornstashe, she'll have to live among the prisoners she was directly harming with her actions. Will she see some sort of retribution for this?
There is also a chance she'll just be a background character who's indirect actions have some sort of effect on the ladies in the prison.
Orange is the New Black returns this summer on Netflix.
