PAX South, the inaugural version of the successful Penny Arcade Exposition, will begin in San Antonio tomorrow. Tickets are still on sale, but if you can't make the trip to Texas, fear not, they will be streaming major convention panels all weekend via Twitch.
PAX South Preview: What To Watch And Hope For This Weekend
It has gotten to the point where it is actually easier to not go to a con, assuming your goal is to learn something new (like we do). All the information is online the minute after any panel ends and you also don't have to worry about god-awful internet or finding a place to sit down. There is no greater freedom than watching a convention while wearing pajamas.
Granted, you lose a bit of the atmosphere. The cosplay, the indie guys who are just the best, the nigh unlimited amount of free swag, but that is the small price to pay for sleeping in.

10:30AM: Inside Gearbox Software - Gearbox will give an overview of their upcoming work, and then later get into more detail on Homeworld, Borderlands and Bloodborne in separate panels.

5:30PM: Omegathon Final Round - because video game marathons are the best
To say nothing of the various booth streams that will be happening. You can check out the Heroes of the Storm stream on Sunday at 12:30, or Hearthstone at 4. Vainglory and H1Z1 will be on hand, alongside loads of others.
