Attack on Titan fans can finally get their hands on the Avengers x Attack on Titan crossover book. The better news is that it can be had for a steal, as Marvel has announced that they'll be giving it away as part of their Free Comic Book Day offering.
Marvel Drops A Bombshell At Recent Press Conference, Marvel Universe Ending?
The announcement came as part of their Secret Wars press conference, reported Comic Book Resources, and was perhaps a little overshadowed by the news from the general Marvel universe.
The original comic was published in Brutus magazine and was announced mere days before it released which didn't give fans of either franchise a chance to grab a copy and/or figure out how to get the Japan only magazine.
The comic was titled Attack on Avengers and was a sort of "what if" storyline. It featured Earth's mightiest heroes in an epic battle against the 46-foot female titan in the middle of New York City. Although a full scale titan attack on New York would probably be a blood bath, I think that the Avengers could probably handle one.
Unfortunately for the Avengers, titans don't travel alone.
Attack on Avengers was plotted out by Hajime Isayama, creator of Attack on Titan, and illustrated by Gerardo Sandoval.
The book will be included in this year's Free Comic Book giveaway.
Free Comic Book Day is a yearly event that happens all over the nation on the first Saturday of May. This year's event will take place on May 2.
