Fans of the popular anime and manga Attack on Titan have another property to look forward to, as their favorite characters will be coming to popular trading card game Weiss Schwarz in 2015.
Attack on Titan Real Escape Game Brings The Terror Stateside
The decks will be released by Bushiroad, the maker of the game reported Gamasutra.
The cards will be available in a trial deck and booster pack. The English edition will actually be released before the Japanese edition, which is the first time that the company has done this. The cards will be available sometime in mid-2015.
Weiss Schwarz is a strategy based card game system that features many popular anime characters. This isn't the only anime property to be featured on the cards- its lineup includes many popular licensed anime properties like Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero.
New Colossal Edition Of Attack On Titan Manga To Be Released
The game features two sides, Weiss and Schwarz, or black and white. Each side has their pros and cons which will dictate how players use them throughout the game.
This partnership will be one of many different media that Attack on Titan has appeared in. Outside of the anime and manga, there are also light novels, and spin off movies, including a live feature. This is on top of the video games and live action events that the franchise has spawned.
Attack on Titan follows the character of Eren as he and his friends battle flesh eating monsters to save their civilization.
