This weekend also marks the 71st anniversary of the final Soviet push to remove the Nazis in the Siege of Leningrad, one of the most destructive sieges in the history of warfare. The city, formerly known as St. Petersburg, was subjected to nearly 900 days of brutal isolation and were freed on January 27, 1944. Nearly four million people, the vast majority Soviet civilians, died during that time.
While it seems silly to honor a devastating period of warfare, in honor of the final breaking of the siege, there are several weekend bonuses lasting until Monday at 6:20 a.m. EST. Damage at least one enemy vehicle in a battle and receive 2x the Crew XP.
