Crystal Dynamics released the third in a series of developer diaries, this one outlining a bit of what you can expect in the Icy Death, as well as a more entertaining overview of the community events.
The Icy Death - available now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC - contains a brand new tomb and a host of new creatures to fall before like wheath before plowshares. It also comes with a new Lara costume skin inspired by the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, as well as new rings, amulets and weapons.
The Simpsons Move Into Minecraft Next Month
With an eye toward both the future - and the past - the video dropped a quick sneak at the February DLC, which will also bring a new map and a new "classic" skin to Lara, inspired by the old Eidos games of the 90s. Boxy and polygonal. The way Lara Croft should be.
New community events will also be coming at a regular basis, allowing the fans to participate in server-wide adventures that foster a sense of camaraderie.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris eschews the grim 'n' gritty motif that the rebooted Tomb Raider has adopted and brings the most famous female character in gaming back to her roots: assaulting mythological gods with assault rifles. The four player 'co-opetive' title is available for next gen titles and PC for $19.99. The Icy Death is $4.99.
