Get ready, because Bohemia Interactive will be soon heading to L.A., where they will be exhibiting not one but two upcoming projects: Carrier Command: Gaea Mission and Arma 3. Also released today was a video depicting a preview of the Arma 3 E3 presentation.
Operating from the South Exhibition Hall, booth 457, visitors will get a hands-on experience with an alpha build of Arma 3, alongside a close-to-final version of Carrier Command: Gaea Mission.
Arma 3 is set in a massive military sandbox, with a large assortment of vehicles and weapons. Players are sent to war in their choice of a solo campaign or multiplayer game modes. There are limitless opportunities for content creation and a passionate community... the PC's premier military shooter is back.
Carrier Command: Gaea Mission takes place on planetoid Taurus and involves conflict between the Asian Pacific Alliance and the United Earth Coalition. There's a great combination of 1st/3rd person action which allows players to take instant and direct control of any unit at any time. There are also real-time strategy elements, like commanding units, managing resources and customizing equipment. The E3 presentation plans to peek at Carrier Command: Gaea Mission's main and story-driven Gaea Mission campaign.
Dean Hall, one of the game's designers on Arma 3, said in a press release, "I think our line-up is very exciting and a strong indicator for the future of the studio; Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is really shaping up to be an excellent game and Arma 3 is a massive leap forward for the series. Through the unexpected success of the DayZ Mod, it is great to see the gaming media, and PC gamers in general, focus their attention on such a great product platform. I think it's the start of a golden time and I am really looking forward to showing this all off at E3!"
Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is scheduled for a Windows PC and Xbox 360 release on September 27, 2012 and Arma 3 is set to be released in Q4.
