Is Crazy Eyes about to find religion? Orange is the New Black Season 3 will be about faith, according to creator Jenji Kohan, and this could have huge ramifications for the character.
New Flashbacks In Orange Is The New Black Will Reveal Past Of Main Characters
The character of Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) has seen massive changes in the past season as well as a back story that reveals her struggles in the outside world, if not exactly what landed her behind bars in the first place.
Faith is what "we chose to believe in," Aduba said of the idea in an interview with TVLine. This is an interesting comment coming from the actress considering that her character has some sort of mental issues.
Season 3 Of Orange Is The New Black Will Be Bloodier Than Ever
We know that Crazy Eyes will be coming from a "broken place" in the coming season and the idea that she chooses to believe in something could mean that she latches on to an idea to help her through her own depression.
For any other character this wouldn't be an issue but with Crazy Eyes' history, this could be disastrous. If she picks the wrong idea, or person, she could see more of a downfall than anything. After all, she latched onto Vee after feeling rejected by her fellow inmates.
Her past choice in a companion has had horrible consequences but a new take on faith could also signal that she begins to believe in herself and we may see a new, stronger, more stable Crazy Eyes after the new season.
Orange is the New Black returns to Netflix this summer.
