Renegade Game Studios is teaming up with Foxtrot Games to publish the Kickstarter success story, Lanterns: The Harvest Festival. It's a board game where you compete for the only thing that matters: Honor.

No, really, that's what you're playing for.
The game is set in imperial China. Players take the role of artisans tasked with decorating the palace lake with floating lanterns. Whoever gains the most honor for their arrangements wins the game.

It's not just as straightforward as laying down the best arrangement. That would be too easy. Instead, you have to balance your arrangement against your opponents. Even while competing against each other, you're still working together to create something of beauty. For the Emperor.
"Lanterns is a beautiful and approachable game that appeals to a broad range of gamers," says Foxtrot Games President Randy Hoyt. "We couldn't be happier for this partnership with Scott and Renegade to get this great game in front of more gamers."
The deceptively simple game takes moments to learn but hours to master. Still, each playthrough will only last around half an hour and can be played by two to four players at a time. The game is rated ages eight plus.
Fun for the whole family but remember, you're in it for the honor.
Lanterns: The Harvest Festival will be released sometime in the spring of this year and sell for $35. You can stay current on release dates on the Renegade Games Studios website.
