"Suppose that all worlds, all universes, met at a single nexus, a single pylon, a Tower. And within it, a stairway, perhaps rising to the Godhead itself. Would you dare climb to the top, Gunslinger?"
Sol Invictus iOS Gamebook Review: Book? Yes. Game? Sort Of.
While you may not discover the dark meta-fabric of the universe, you can discover just how high you can go in Gameblyr's latest entry into the uber-nice, sub-sub-genre awards: the Procedurally Generated Endless Jumper game Spirefall.
While 'Procedurally Generated Endless Jumper' (PGEJ) is a mouthful, it is a very apt descriptor for the free top play iOS title. (F2PPGEJ? Too much? Not enough?). The game tasks you with ascending up a tower as if trying to know the face of some all-seeing deity. Only, here's the catch: you can never reach the top. When you think you've ascended to the peak, there is only more tower.

Truly, Gameblyr has created a game as metaphor for the religious struggle that sits inside us all. The Tower of Babel is real. May we never reach the pinnacle, lest the whole thing come crashing down.
"Spirefall provides unique challenges every time you play and is a great throwback to the games we grew up on," said Marco Mereu, CEO of Gameblyr. "Gameplay is still king, and Spirefall will put a smile on your face, guaranteed. We hope people enjoy competing with their friends for high scores and look forward to seeing if anyone can scale the tower."
In other words: "Go then, there are other worlds than this."
