The weekend has arrived, meaning mysterious Destiny merchant Xur is back, as well. The vendor is the only one in the game to sell exotic weapons, and every week is different than the last.
Destiny Player Completes The Expansion's Raid By Himself, Watch The Run Here
This week, Xur is back in the Tower Hangar, off to the right side after the very first stair case. Xur is always in a new location from one week to the next, and his stock differs every time. He appears on Friday and departs overnight between Saturday and Sunday, offering one exotic armor item for each class, an exotic weapon, and an exotic engram to gamble on.
Xur is repeating the Warlock armor this week, with Starfire Protocol appearing for the second week running. For Titans he's offering An Insurmountable Skullfort, and the Hunter armor is the Lucky Raspberry chest piece. The exotic weapon this time around is The Last Word, one of the best hand cannons that will no doubt appeal to many. The armor costs 13 Strange Coins as usual, while The Last Word runs you 23.

Now that we're post-expansion, Xur has a selection of items to upgrade in addition to his normal wares--the new list you see in his inventory is not simply gear for sale. You need the original weapon or armor piece to trade in for an upgrade, an Exotic Shard, and some Glimmer--this is meant to keep original exotics gained before the expansion relevant and up to par with the new gear.
These are the items available for upgrade this week: Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter), Young Ahamkara's Spine, Helm of Saint-14, An Insurmountable Skullfort, Apotheosis Veil, Heart of the Praxic Fire, Hard Light, SUROS Regime, Monte Carlo (PS4 exclusive), MIDA Multi Tool, Thorn, Plan C, and Gjallarhorn.
