The latest teaser for Hitman Absolution decided to go for a bit more subtlty in the tone of the new release. Namely by introducing "The Saints," a wetwork squad tasked by Agent 47's old employers at I/O to snuff out their former favorite son. And it bears mentioning that they're wholesome nuns looking to spread the word of God.
Except their God might just be named Kratos based on the high heels, catsuits and heavy weapons they bring to the fight. The glorious pre-rendered trailer comes from Square's in-house team at Visual Works, who were responsible for last year's equally pretty Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer, "They Can't Stop The Future."
Square promises that " [i]t's an action-packed thrill ride, reflecting the very special vibe and atmosphere you can expect" with the final game, which is an entirely different animal than the first Hitman. But over the years, players have shown they really do like a choice in styles, as again shown off by Deus Ex, which treated stealth and full-bore rampaging cyborg formats with a balance that made both styles a challenge to play.
Hitman: Absolution comes over November 20th. We expect they'll be more at e3 next week.
