Punk is dead. So is funk. And death metal. At least that's the case in the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw. Various musical monstrosities are back from the grave to put Juliet in hers.
In this new trailer, we see the likes of punk rock zombie Zed, whose screams take physical form; Viking metal zombie Vikke, a dead drummer who borrows some of the Norse god Thor’s talent for lightning; psychedelic zombie Mariska with literal split personalities; funk zombie Josey is what you get when you cross Baron Samedi with George Clinton, but throw in a flying saucer and 8-bit bombs. And finally we meet Rock n’ Roll zombie Lewis, who sports an Elvis style pompadour and a bad ass bike.
Listen closely, and you’ll hear some familiar voices. Chainsaw was able to get some notables to lend their voice to help make the living dead bosses come…well…”alive.”
Alumnus of Walking Dead and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Michael Rooker provides the voice of Vikke; Jimmy Urine of the band Mindless Self Indulgence plays the punk zombie Zed, and Shawnee Smith from Saw is psychedelic zombie Mariska.
