Indie developer Neutronized has swooped in to rescue from the cold, barren waste that is the game release schedule that is now. The company has debuted the first trailer for their upcoming mobile title Drop Wizard, and though it is in Japanese, fun and charming need no translation.
Sol Invictus, Interactive Sci Fi Gamebook, Is Out Next Week
Drop Wizard is a single screen arcade adventure game similar to the original Donkey Kong, Bubble Bobble and Snow Bros. You assume the role of Teo, a wizard who is on a mission to save his friend who has been turned into stone by an evil warlock. Aah, simpler times, back before character and nuance were required of games.
The game features over 60 stages to test your skills by “dropping” down the bottom pit, and then magically portaling yourself to the hole in the top of the screen. There are boss battles and secrets galore to be found, so be on the look out as you maneuver around your adversaries. In keeping with its retro pixel art, Drop Wizard features a 16 bit score to bring you back to your childhood.
Tekken 7 Roster Expansion: Meet Shaheen, The Saudi Warrior
Drop Wizard is available on January 8 for both iPad and iPhones and best of all, it is a premium game. No in-app purchases at all. Remember those days? The days when you bought a game and it was yours? Drop Wizard and the team over at Neutronized do.
Watch the trailer below and keep an eye out at the App Store next week.
