Mojang business developer Daniel Kaplan and Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Peterson recently announced that to date, Minecraft has sold 9.2 million copies. Not too shabby for a little indie game. This figure counts for sales on PC, XBox Live, iOS, and Android versions. Shouldn't be too long now before the total sales hit 10 million.
Originally a PC only release, Minecraft has spread to XBox360 earlier this month, and is responsible for over a tenth of the almost 10 million sales. Mojang earlier reported that Minecraft recently broke XBLA records, selling more than any other title in the first 24 hours.
According to its own site, Minecraft now has over 30 million registered users and counting.
