There's a stark difference between playing "Resident Evil" as a survivor-horror game (and not the current ones, which are more like Rambo-horror) and a rail shooter. The survival horror made for jump scares, conserving ammunition and treading softly at the first whisper of a Licker in the next room. A rail shooter means you just sit back and let things come to you. But you're in luck if that's your preferred method of zombie interaction, since Capcom announced "Resident Evil: Chronicles" for a June release.
Combining the former Wii-exclusive "Darkside" and "Umbrella" Chronicles, which span nearly every part of the "Resident Evil" universe until right before the fourth. The bundled game will support Playstation Move, so you can shoot zombies with your glowing wand of destruction or just use your controller.
Both titles will be seperated on the Playstation Network at a later date according to Capcom.

Remastered for the PlayStation®3 system with stunning HD graphics and featuring PlayStation®Move compatibility, Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection will offer gamers the chance to relive the Resident EvilTM story so far. The intense shooter gameplay from both titles is back as players attempt to survive the horror alone or with a friend in co-op mode, earning trophies as they go. PlayStation®Move technology brings the action to life, with the player using the motion controller as their weapon. The title can also be enjoyed with the wireless controller, providing seamless gameplay without a motion control accessory.
Revisiting past plots from the series and exposing Umbrella Corporation's actions, The Umbrella Chronicles features eight playable characters, including Rebecca Chambers, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. As seen previously in the version for the WiiTM system from Nintendo, the title also features a brand new chapter in Resident Evil history. The Darkside Chronicles plot takes players back to the story of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield trying to escape the nightmares of Raccoon City, while finally revealing the truth behind Leon and Krauser's feud. |
