The delay behind Crystal Dynamics' "Tomb Raider" prequel/origin/reboot or whatever you want to call it seems to have not effected the footage. Game Trailers teases the full trailer for next week when e3 kicks off in grand fashion, but it's hard to tell what's taken so long?
Including the recent announcement that "Raider" was shunted into 2013, along with what seems like every other amazing looking game from e3 2011, there seems to be nothing physically different. When Game Informer launched their massive cover story back in December 2010, Crystal Dynamics appeared to have everything wrapped up in a nice, gritty bow. They decided to forego a sequel to "Tomb Raider: Underworld" and, as Brand Director Karl Stewart told them, " The origin story came about through lots of research and deciding how to reposition Lara to get her where she needed to go. A reboot wasn’t at the top of the list to begin with, but it certainly shone through as the direction the franchise needed."
So again, why the delay? Maybe that'll be given an sepia-toned origin next week.
