Even if you've never seen a Star Wars movie in your life (how is that even possible?), chances are you at least know who Yoda is. The little green guy, sometimes lives in a swamp, always has an odd way of speaking. The familiar character will be voiced by original actor Frank Oz in an upcoming episode of Star Wars Rebels.

IGN reports that in the next episode of the popular show, not only will Yoda make an appearance but the voice actor that started it all will be taking up the role again. Oz played Yoda in the original films as well as the prequels. Basically, Oz was Yoda for Star Wars Episodes I-VI anytime the sage Jedi Master appeared on film.
He's not the only person who has every voiced him, John Lithgow also did a stint as Yoda for radio. Oz also acted as puppeteer for the icon. Man of many talents.

There won't be any puppet work in this incarnation however. Star Wars Rebels is an animated series that is currently running on Disney XD and follows a new set of characters. However, the events, like anything that happens in the Star Wars universe are cannon and all play into the overall massive story of the Empire.
You can catch the new episode featuring Oz as Yoda when it premieres on January 5, 9 PM ET/PT. You can check out a clip below from the episode of Yoda dropping some wisdom on a young warrior.
