Insomniac Games has released the next expansion pack for Sunset Overdrive, The Mystery of Mooil Rig. It can be purchased individually on the Xbox Store for $9.99, and is also included in the season pass.

The pack adds a new area to the game in the form of an offshore platform teeming with mutants and disgruntled workers. The oil rig is shown off and outlined in the newest episode of Sunset TV, which you can watch below. Here's how to access the new content after you buy, courtesy of Xbox Wire:
"Once you've downloaded The Mystery of the Mooil Rig (and once you've completed the "A New Friend" mission in the main game), you'll find a new mission notification on the map directing you to the FizzCo internet cafe. From there, you'll be tasked with tracking down an old friend before navigating the deep blue sea to investigate a distress signal emanating from an offshore rig owned by the shadowy Mooil corporation."

The team also promises an array of new weapons, amps, and vanity items. It also includes new Night Defense and Chaos Squad missions, and the objectives in the story content are supposedly varied beyond fetch quests and the like. Also, as you can see demonstrated in the trailer, new water traversal mechanics have been added in both the expansion and main game to make getting around the new content more efficient.
