Whether you prefer to play Grand Theft Auto V on your own or take it to multiplayer in Grand Theft Auto Online, Rockstar is throwing some new content your way in the game's new title update and Festive Surprise event.
Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass Subscribers Can Now Pick Up Their Free Game
In the Festive Surprise, the universe of Grand Theft Auto Online is being imbued with a little more holiday cheer, at least until January 5. Players will be able to deck their character in ugly sweaters and holiday-inspired masks to spread a little Christmas spirit to the convenience store owner that they're holding up. Players can then pick up free Firework Launchers and ammo on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Be sure to also look out for Snow Days in San Andreas, those magical moments where Southern California becomes covered in snow and actual snowball fights can break out among the players.
The new update is rolling out four new cars and the ability to purchase Homing Missile Launchers and Proximity Mines from Ammu-Nation. Unlike the festive clothing options, though, these items will remain in the player's inventory after January 5. Players should also keep an eye out for special holiday crate drops and a special gift that should land in their inventory on Christmas.
Tales From The Borderlands Hits Mobile Devices
Today, a title update for Grand Theft Auto V is also rolling out among consoles. This patch allows players to expand their collection of vehicles by owning a third property. The patch adds a bunch of content, like new cars and tattoos, and fixes just as many bugs. To see the full list of what today's title update adds, you can check out the patch notes on Rockstar's blog.
Grand Theft Auto V is now available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The PC port is due sometime next year.
