After the announcement of a later release date, and the extended patience put into effect, fans will finally get their hands on a copy of "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier" tomorrow. With just one day left, Loot Drop for Ubisoft, decided to get fans, specifically Facebook users, even more pumped, by introducing "Ghost Recon Commander."
On its Facebook page, the game is described as "a fast-paced strategic combat experience that challenges everything you know about Facebook games." This companion game to "Ghost Recon: Future Soldier," is what may be deemed as a genius move on Ubisoft's part. With millions of users on Facebook, it's a given that you will have an overflow of hardcore players.
Missions involve infiltrating areas and shooting the people in them. "Ghost Recon Commander" encourages teamwork between the players and allows a player to invite friends as allies on a mission.
"It's not super gory," Lead Designer Brenda Garno Brathwaite said during an interview with Venturebeat. "But we didn't want to dumb it down for the Facebook audience."
Of course, the Facebook platform is not perfect, so if you're eager for hours of third-person shooter 3D gameplay on a PS3 or Xbox, and the opportunity to try out new features like, active camouflage (which allows for invisibility), then I suggest you wait until tomorrow. Otherwise, try out "Ghost Recon Commander" and take advantage of the flexibility it provides--You can play it anywhere and it's accessible to any type of player.
Loot Drop plans to make a mobile client for the game, in the future, as well.
