For people who were old enough in the late 70s, there was nothing like getting your first glimpse of a galaxy far, far away. This wasn't necessarily in the movie theaters either. For some fans, the first look at Luke and the gang came in the form of a comic book. Marvel has remastered the original book and will release the original Star Wars comic adaptations for a whole new generation.

The first Star Wars movie came out 1977 and changed the world of science fiction forever. Before that however, Marvel was there, waiting, with a comic adaptation. With the new Star Wars series coming out in 2015, it seems the key time to revisit the first book.
The first book follows the first movie, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, and introduces the characters that are now deeply rooted in popular culture. Although, just because we all know how the story ends, doesn't mean that revisiting the world won't still be great fun.

The book will be an oversized hardcover and contain the original story but with a new cover by Adi Granov. The first book follows the first film and focuses on Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, C3-PO and R2-D2. Although fans will be familiar with the story, the book will contain scenes that never made it to the film.
The new graphic novel, Star Wars: A New Hope, will come out in May 2015. The sequels, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of Jedi, are also being remastered and will be released later in 2015.
