The names of several main characters from the Star Wars - The Force Awakens trailer have been revealed. Needless to say, there are spoilers below.
Tales From The Borderlands Now Available On iOS
J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilms exclusively gave the official names of the trailer's characters to Entertainment Weekly in trading card form. The publication then posted the information on its website. Each character below is linked to their corresponding postcard, via EW. Abrams stated that the numbering on each card is in some way significant, so start guessing!
- John Boyega's character (the man dressed in stormtrooper gear at the start of the trailer) is named Finn. No last name for now).
- Oscar Isaac's X-Wing pilot is named Poe Dameron.
- Daisy Ridley's character--the woman on the speeder--is named Rey.
- The lighsaber-wielder is named Kylo Ren, but the actor portraying him has still not been revealed.
- The ball droid is named BB-8
Those are the only details revealed today, but they're pretty significant, even if we're unsure of any implications for now. Two more cards of the Millennium Falcon and the X-Wings are available, if anyone manages to figure out what the numbers mean. There are still plenty of actors who have not had their characters revealed, and these names will only serve to fuel more speculation--stay tuned for any more news.
