Spoiler alert! If you haven't seen the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead and somehow have managed to avoid all social media thus far then there's information below that will reveal a pivotal character death in the series. Even with the permanence of death, the Mary Sue reports that fans want to see this character come back from the dead and even created a petition to make it happen.

When Beth died fans were outraged that everyone's favorite songbird would sing no more on the show. Her death seemed pretty final. A bullet to the head is a pretty handy way to make sure anyone, living or walking dead, doesn't get back up. Not to mention that afterwards, we saw her body. Everyone saw her body. There was no denying that Beth was really, really gone.
Even so, fans to the tune of over 30K people, have signed a petition to try and bring her back. Sure this is the world of TV and TWD features the reanimated corpses of people coming back to devour the flesh of the living but that doesn't mean that they're magic. Dead people don't come back unless they're Walkers and even then, no one comes back after a shot to the head.
Trickster to Return to The Flash With Familiar Face
Scott M. Gimple, showrunner, spoke on the matter, admitting that there was more to the character of Beth then they had time to explore with her. To appease fans, Gimple also hinted that you may get to hear Beth's voice in the music as she sung quite often in the show.
The Walking Dead returns in February until then, here's one of Beth's greatest hits.
