The free to play PC shooter Loadout is making its way to PlayStation 4 on December 16.
Halo 5: Guardians Beta Will Be A 10 GB Download
The announcement that the cartoony, gore-filled shooter would be coming to Sony's console was made last week, but Edge of Reality today announced the official release date. It will remain free, and the launch trailer below shows you what to expect.
The PS4 launch will give PlayStation Plus members a free SuperFan Bonus Pack that includes some blue and white character paints to celebrate. Loadout will also be playable on PS4 at this weekend's PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas, for those able to attend.

If you're not familiar with the game, you can see from the trailer that it certainly does not take itself seriously. Despite the ridiculous antics, Loadout's weapon crafting system is very deep and customizable--you really can make whatever type of weapon you'd like, and there's always incentive to collect more parts. You can style your character, as well, and the gameplay is fast-paced, high-action team combat. Comparisons to Team Fortress 2 are inevitable for the visuals and violence, though it does play quite differently. Download it for free now on PC through Steam or on PS4 when it releases December 16.
